Abstract

Inam-ul-Bari by Muftī Muhammad Taqī Usmanī and Ni’mat-al-Barī by Allama Ghulam Rasool saeedī are both interpretations of Bukhari shareef. This article provides a comparative overview of the chapters of the Book of Short prayers. Scholars differ on the duration of shortening. According to the Hanafis the duration is 15 days and according to the Shafis, Hanbalis and Malikis it is 4 days. The Scholars differed as to why The Holy Prophet (SAWS) offered short prayer in Mina. In Ni’mat al-Barī amout of shari’a travel is 54 miles and in Inamul Bari it is 48 miles. It is not permissible for woman to perform Hajj with out mahram. After leaving the city, he offered short prayer. According to Imam Abu Hanifa (RA) Short prayer is Aazimat and according to Imam Shafi (RA) and Ahmad (RA) it is a leave. He will offer short prayers before entering his city. The combination of two prayers is also permissible in every ordinary journey. All the scholars agree on offering Nafl prayers while riding. According to Hanafis sunan becomes nafl during journey.
